The advice we offer is limited to matters relating to EEA Nationals exercising European Treaty rights including applications to the Home Office for registration certificates for EEA family members, and documents certifying permanent residence. We can also guide you on the new rules relating to the EU Settlement Scheme following the result of the referendum.
We are required to provide details of our charges in accordance with new regulations issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Our experience shows that our clients prefer to have a fixed fee quote. We do a one off consultation to ascertain the specific background circumstances of a potential client for which we charge £125 plus VAT for an hour’s consultation.
Our firm’s fees for an application under the European Economic Area regulations will be one applicant – £700.00 plus VAT; applicant plus spouse – £750.00 plus VAT; when children are included on an application for permanent residence we will add a further £50 plus VAT per child. These fees are based on an average case and will include, considering the circumstances of the individual client; considering the information and documents required; advising on the best way to proceed and preparing and submitting the application. These fees are based on a time estimate of between three and four hours. They may vary from case to case, depending on your personal circumstances. If a one off consultation fee has been paid this will be deducted.
We also advise on matters of citizenship and nationality. An application for naturalisation will be charged at £750 plus VAT per person. This will include providing advice on fulfilling the requirements to be eligible to apply to be naturalised as a British Citizen. Advising on the information and documents required in support; completing the application and submitting it to the Home Office. The fixed fee is based on an average case time estimate of between three to four hours. In addition there are home office fees payable which are subject to regular increases. As at April 2018 the fees are £1,330 per person. There is no reduction when married couples apply. Each has to complete a separate form and pay a separate fee. We recommend an initial consultation, as referred to above.
