Roma Paluch has a Languages degree from Queen Mary College, London University where she studied European Studies with French. She hoped to pursue a career in languages but got drawn into the Law by her older sister Irma Pietron, who at that time worked for A Kay. She first worked as a legal secretary to a busy conveyancing Solicitor in a firm based in St James’s London SW1. She then came to work as a paralegal for Mr Kay, and thereafter applied to the College of Law, Chancery Lane, and was admitted to the Roll as a Solicitor in October 1987.
Roma went into Partnership with Irma Pietron soon after qualifying. The partnership came into being in May 1988. We incorporated as an LLP in May 2011.
She was appointed Senior Partner in May 2007, which role she took over from Irma Pietron, and she continues the vision and leadership in the particular family friendly style of A Kay Pietron & Paluch so effectively performed by her predecessor.
Roma used to be a “General Practitioner” covering such diverse areas of law as Matrimonial, Residential and Commercial Conveyancing, Wills & Probate, Immigration and Landlord & Tenant matters. With more experience and expertise required in the ever changing legal environment, she now shares the Probate and Administration load with Harold Pluss; she acts as Professional Attorney and Deputy, as well as advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship applications; she is Legal Trustee on various charitable trusts; Roma is also our Immigration advisor.
Roma is a single mum, with adult children and a grandson. She used to have a passion for sports, especially volleyball, but regrettably participates less and less now. Instead she encourages her children to continue where she left off.
She speaks Polish, French and Spanish.
Roma Paluch works Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday from 10.00am to 5.30pm, and Thursdays from 10.00am to 2.00pm.
Irma Pietron has a BA (Hons) Degree in French and Spanish from Queen Mary College, London University. She also has a B Ed from Toronto University in Canada.
Irma spent several years teaching languages in Paris, Madrid and Toronto. On returning from Canada in 1979 she came to help out at A Kay Solicitors, the practice set up by Mr Andrzej Kamieniecki in 1978. She became so fascinated with the work that she decided to apply to the College of Law.
Irma was admitted as a Solicitor and an Officer of the Supreme Court in January 1984. She and her sister Roma Paluch took over the practice of A Kay Solicitors in May 1988 at which time the firm of A Kay Pietron & Paluch was born.
Irma speaks Polish, French and Spanish.
Irma is now semi-retired and continues her invaluable work in the running of various Trusts. She is available by appointment only.

Barbara Jasnikowska has a degree in Biology and Psychology from Keele University. After graduating she travelled abroad and lived in Spain for two years teaching English. There she learned to speak fluent Spanish, although many years later some of that knowledge has faded.
Upon returning to England she married and qualified as a teacher. She taught in primary schools for 20 years, 10 of those as a Headteacher.
In 2002, she left the teaching profession in search of a new challenge. She joined A Kay Pietron & Paluch and underwent specialist training in Family Law, becoming the firm’s advisor in this area for 15 years. She no longer sees clients but works on complex cases with Katarzyna Smierzchalska our Family Law Advisor.
The management skills she acquired as a Headteacher are a huge asset to the firm in the area of Practice Management and enable her to assist the partners in the strategic development of the firm. Now semi-retired she works from her home in England or Spain.
Barbara is a mother of four adult children and a grandmother. A passionate sportswoman, now unable to compete at the level she was accustomed to, she has to make do with the gym and swimming. However, she encourages her children to develop their talents and participate in sport at the highest level they can achieve.
Barbara speaks fluent Polish and good Spanish.
Barbara Jasnikowska is in the office only on Wednesdays from 10.00 – 5.30 when she is in England.
